Over 70 people attended our Holiday Party to reconnect, to show their resolve, and to celebrate ballot box victories. Our guest speaker, Betsy Fogle, was one of those successes. She was re-elected to Greene County’s District 135 seat in the Missouri House of Representatives and wanted to remind us of some success. Three Missouri House seats were held in Greene County, and Missouri passed Amendment 3, enshrining abortion rights in our state constitution and the people passed an increase in minimum wage and earned paid sick leave!

Betsy also made it clear that “We win when we show up,” and we need to show up where Democrats don’t normally go! We must keep fighting for democratic values.

Our Chair of the Central Committee, Bob Rubino, thanked the many Democrat candidates that ran for office this year. We need to keep supporting those candidates that support us.

The Cattywampus Band once again enlivened our evening, keeping spirits high with rockin’ music. They have been a welcome part to our annual parties for many years and, with the addition of new talent, made this celebration exceptional.

We also thank Fremont Hills Country Club for the lovely dining room, helpful service, and tasty meal.
